This is a public service announcement from South India, from where my parents are from. It’s a good thing (or bad I suppose for my enemies like Mikey) they didn’t see this 23 years ago!
I’ve been working on a new private home page with Marc, and I’ve put it up for everyone to try out. We made it a lot cleaner and I think way more useful.
If you’re not a themed user, you should upgrade. It’s seriously 1000 times better than using the old CLAF stuff.
One note: For people not using themes, you’ll notice that there’s not really a way to look through all your weblog entries. However, if you go over to http://weblog.xanga.com/[yourusername], you’ll be able to edit all your entries.
Let me know what you think!
Last weekend I went on a bar crawl put together by the always entertaining and fun Dave Chen. This year we were “Gotham Air Academy” graduates instead of Police Academy graduates like last year.
Me and my friend/roommate Joel went to the apartment of some of Dave’s friends before the bar crawl. One of the girls there told me the funniest idea for a halloween costume.
***** Warning! Not for the easily offended or youngsters. This means you teenagers below 18!***********
You wear jeans and no shirt as your costume to a Halloween party. When people ask who you are, you tell them, “I’m premature ejaculation, I just came in my pants.”
I thought it was hilarious, although I probably would never actually do this unless really really drunk.
I watched The Motorcycle Diaries for the 4th time last night. Every time I watch this movie I start to feel restless and I stay up all night thinking. I’m not sure exactly what it is about the movie that makes me feel this way. The soundtrack is also really beautiful and inspiring, and I’m listening to it right now.
If you haven’t heard about the movie at all, it’s about a trip that the famed revolutionary Ernesto
Che” Guevara took with his friend Alberto Grenado around South America on a motorcycle they named “The Mighty One.” The movie shows how he i s deeply changed by their experiences on the journey. It’s based on the journal he kept during the trip.
If you haven’t seen it, you definitely should.
After watching the movie and reading more about the life of Che, I can see why he’s such a romanticized and popular figure. He’s was a handsome medical student who became skilled revolutionary, and was captured by U.S. special forces while trying to start a revolution in Angola and executed a short while later. There are accusations that he had many innocent people killed while he was “Supreme Prosecutor” in Cuba, but these haven’t really tarnished his legend and image for many people.
