To my fellow 41st and 7th NYSC members
old guys in the locker room who just hang out with your pants off – i’m glad you’re comfortable with the way you look, but i don’t want to see what happens when i get old. now i just walk around the locker room staring at the floor hoping i don’t run into any of you.
huge indian guy – i didn’t even know that indian people like us
were allowed to get as ripped as you are. you’re a nice guy, but please
don’t ask me to spot for you again because i almost dropped the bar on
your chest last time!guy who makes strange noises while working out – when i first heard you, i swear i thought a motorcycle was behind me and about to run me over in the gym. it was a deep throated, “brrrrrrrrrrrr” sort of noise. this was while you were standing next to the incline bench. then while lifting, you started up with, “haaaa..hup” for every rep. ok, so breathing heavily is ok, and probably good for you, but you’re just going way over the top and you probably know it.

didn’t say anything better than, “thanks” but i was barely awake and
really confused that you said that. you have a nice smile!fellow xanga worker marc – you’re on that elliptical machine forever it seems like! i’m pretty sure a few times i’ve gotten to the gym and seen you on the machine, and then you’re still on there when i leave. i’ve yet to get past 23 minutes on the treadmill.
fellow xanga user sarah – too bad you’re not working at the gym anymore
because you are cool. but you’re going to columbia now for nursing
school, kickass!guy who told me he was using the bench press while he was still on a different machine – you’re an asshole
good ole gym. it’s never boring.

Tried NYSC in the UWS for a couple of days. Don’t know what it is about gyms that just can’t keep me coming back. Meh. Maybe it’s just because I’m lazy.
Oh, and I’ve heard about them older, carefree men… Hmmm…
